ted talks Jeff Han

Jeff Hans muti touch interface design is very very intersting. I want one so bad it looked so fun playing with the dots, lava lamp programs. I am always impressed by the new technology coming out today. I always wonder what will they think of next.

research paper

My topic was privacy on the internet and cookies. I have to say that i learned the most about cookies. I think everyone allready knows that the internet is in no why shape or form private. Cookies are infact the one of the biggest risks on the internet. If you have every bought anything via the internet your personal. Cookies are only small pieces of data that cant preform any operations by themselves but can contain any information you have entered into the computer. This was the most shocking thing i learned from this project.

Ted talks

I watched the talk from Stephen Lawler called Look up in the sky its virtual earth. I picked this video to blog about because i didn't like it. The virtual earth thing is pretty cool and will save the movie industry a lot of money and make commercials look amazing but how can it help me. The video seemed more like ad for Microsoft than anything. The apple commercial statements and by him talking about how they were the first to the Katrina disaster and showed people there house via virtual earth should have been in a commercial rather then on Ted.com.

HTML code

The only time i have used the actual html code is to change my background on myspace. I know there is a lot more u can do with myspace but never took the time to figure it all out. To change your background you just copy a html code from the Internet and paste it into your about me box and magically a new background appears. I really have know idea how the html code works but always wanted to learn. So I am mildly excited about building a actual web page.

Ted Talks

I have to first off say that i don't keep up with the news. In addition to that I do not know much about the military as in how things have changed and how they operate on the inside. I personally liked the presentation by Thomas Barnett. In the lack for words I have to say it was very entertaining. His views are very new to me but I can see were he was coming from. I think the military would be much better off if they took a little advise from him and made some inside changes. Now I have to admit most of what he said didn't mean a whole lot to me. The one thing that did stick out was about having the marines not handing out aid they should be ready to go in and kill. I think he is right. Shouldn't other country fear the marines. I sure seeing pictures of them handing out aid to people doesn't invoke fear in anyone.

Artificial Intelligence and computers

The article I found was called AI beyond Computers. The article was really really long so I choose the Artificial Progress section to summarize. This part of the article talked about how PC games have progressed over the years of gaming. Now they have come out with Artificial life, which has been described as "one of gaming’s hottest new frontiers" by Next Generation, a popular computer and video gaming magazine. Not that sure what Artificial life actually is but i would assume its like the Sims PC game just way more realistic.

Ted talks

I watched a few videos and they were all pretty much boring. I found Jills Sobules video called A happy song about global warming. I personally thought it was great. Its good to see someone take the lighter side for a change instead of talking about how bad global warming is. I think by now everyone gets the point. Al gore even liked the song he was standing and clapping at the end. Everyone should watch it; it is truly funny.
